Volunteer with us

We are recruiting students in relevant fields to volunteer in our Ottawa Entry to School program.

About the Opportunity

  • Volunteers gain experience by spending time in classrooms, prepping materials, assisting staff with activities and supporting children with transitions and routines.

  • Relevant fields: Occupational Therapy; Occupational Therapy Assistant; Speech-Language Pathology; Communication Disorder Assistant (CDA); Early Childhood Education; related child development programs.

  • About Entry to School: a naturalistic, group-based, half-day program that helps children with autism prepare for a successful transition to kindergarten or Grade 1, implemented by a multidisciplinary team.

Skills and qualifications can be acquired through employment, education, previous volunteer work or other activities such as hobbies or sports.

You understand that upon acceptance as a Volunteer at ACT Learning Centre, you will supply a Vulnerable Sector check completed within the last six months (at your cost).
