Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) or Comprehensive ABA Program
ABA delivered at high intensity to accelerate learning across developmental domains.
IBI is ABA delivered at high intensity, typically 20 or more hours per week, with programming across developmental domains to improve a child's rate of learning and overall developmental trajectory. Common curriculums include ABLLS-R and VB-MAPP, and PEAK. Services include functional assessment of behaviour, skills-based assessments, individualized programming, communication training including vocal and varying levels of tech (communication boards, speech-generated devices), school readiness and social skills training, caregiver coaching, and consultation with other professionals.
Focused ABA Program
A focused ABA program is designed for individuals who have a smaller number of treatment priorities.
ABA is delivered at a lower intensity, typically 6-20 hours per week, targeting a limited number of goals that improve specific behaviours or skills that will have a meaningful impact on daily functioning. Program goals may include toilet training, aggression, self-injury, sleep, social skills, or a specific communication goal.
