Position Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist who values autonomy and flexibility and enjoys working in a supportive, collaborative environment. At ACT, you’ll focus on what you do best— helping clients achieve their therapeutic goals—while working in a dynamic and rewarding setting. You’ll join a clinic-based team supporting autistic children and youth and other developmental and learning needs. As an OT, you’ll provide assessment, intervention, and consultation, while working closely with clients and their families to set goals and develop practical strategies that can be used at home, school, and in the community. You’ll also work alongside an interdisciplinary team and other service providers to support consistent, family-centered care. There may also be opportunities to participate in our government-funded Entry to School (ETS) Program. ETS is a 12-month program that supports autistic children as they prepare for and begin school for the first time. During the first six months, children participate in a group program focused on developing school-readiness skills across areas such as communication, play, social interaction, functional routines, self-management, pre-academic learning, and attention. As a member of the ETS supervisory team, you will provide weekly coaching and consultation to a multidisciplinary team of classroom facilitators implementing the program. During the second six months, the supervisory team provides transition support to school teams as children move into the school environment.
